Gmail Bug Fixes
  • Google was rudely stripping all links to KnowledgeTree content when users forwarded our emails, leaving them quite naked (the emails, not the users).  We had a chat about inappropriate public groping, and fixed the issue.
  • Some people like to use capital letters in email addresses. With a huff of pride, we refused to supply asset recommendations for these recipients just because their names looked different. We re-read the Constitution and realized we're on the wrong side of history here, so have ceased all discrimination. Free recommendations for all!

With today's release, we're providing a default set of categories. In the coming weeks, we're adding the ability to add and manage your own custom categories.  We're pushing category metadata into the KT share activity tasks in Salesforce, so you can pivot on categories in your Salesforce dashboards. Our success team can also provide you with an Excel report...just ask!
More Elbow Room for Emails
Though LONGER emails are not de rigeur when prospecting, sometimes you just gotta have a few more characters to get the job done.  Especially if you're writing in German ;-)

We've increased the character limit in email templates to 1800. Happy hunting! 
Custom Slide Decks: Better, Bigger, Faster!

License Management - New User Email Bug

We squashed a bug affecting customers using the manual user provisioning feature. We were...um...a little overeager to welcome newbies to KnowledgeTree, and were sending lovely emails to users who hadn't been licensed yet.

Oops! Nobody wants to get spammed by a service they haven't started using yet. We have ceased and desisted.
New Feature: Improved Content Targeting
Support for Checkbox Rules

Sometimes it really IS black or white. An account is either VIP or not. At risk or healthy. Now you can leverage KnowledgeTree to recommend content based on any binary situation, by leveraging new support for checkbox fields in your CRM. Just refresh your Salesforce data and start adding checkbox rules today.

New Feature: Control Asset Recommendations
Help Reps Discover & Use More Content

Many of you have asked for more control over which assets are recommended by our engine by default.  Sometimes, the "best match" recommendations can be too restrictive, and reps may miss out on discovering assets that match a single criteria of their sales situation, because they're "hidden" in favor of assets that match more criteria. Starting today, you can govern the default view for all reps when they load a record:

Now you can choose the default recommendation behavior, and have it applied system-wide:
  1. Show best matches only: only asset(s) w/ the most matching rules are displayed (today's behavior)
  2. NEW! Show all matches: any asset with at least one matching rule will be displayed

Of course, users in Salesforce retain the flexibility to toggle between "best," "all matches," and "all assets" views when they are viewing the record:
